Opportunity #1 - CGI

Drewstar's Superscripts is one of the finest resources for pay site and promotional scripts. There are scripts to handle: passwords, pay site memberships with interfaces to iBill and Cybercash, run banner programs, shopping cart, and a ton more. For one price you get all their scripts plus a lifetime membership so you can get updates, new scripts which are added monthly and support at no extra charge.

I use the iBill processor to run WEB900 access on one of my sites. It is a great script that works very well. The script is also very well laid out and documented. I am not a programmer but still found it very easy to customize the script to suit some special needs I had.

Opportunity #2 - CGI

The CGI Resource Index has over 1000 links to every type of CGI program you can imagine. The scripts are organized by category so it is easy to find what you are looking for.

Opportunity #3 - HTML

Web Mastery is my favorite place to find answers to HTML questions.

Opportunity #4 - HTML

Web Craft 101 is a very good guide to HTML resources. This page has links to HTML guides from beginning to advanced.

Opportunity #5 - JavaScript

Cut-N-Paste JavaScript has a ton of free java scripts that you can use to enhance your web pages. Beware that many people either have old browsers that can't handle JAVA or they have it turned off.

Opportunity #6 - Utility

Gif Wizard is an online service that can dramatically reduce the size of the graphics on your site. I reduced the size of the graphics on my site nearly 50% on average. Not only will this save you bucks in bandwidth charges, but your pages will also load faster. The average surfer hates slow pages!

Opportunity #7 - Site Blocking

If you have adult content you should register your site with all the site blocking services that help parents keep their kids out.

These systems are not dependant on you displaying their graphic banners on your page, so don't feel like you have to. All these banners do is make the statement that you are responsible. You can just as easily do that in text.
